Job Summary
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on vacant and occupied apartments, common buildings, equipment, and pools. Complete service requests within 24 hours, prioritizing based on urgency and potential damage while maintaining curb appeal and proper inventory levels. Keep storage and shop areas organized per company standards and continue operations independently or in the supervisor's absence. Participate in a seven-day, 24-hour rotating on-call schedule for emergency after-hours calls, requiring availability for weekends, evenings, and inclement weather. Must hold a valid driver's license and auto insurance to travel to the site.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours in an emergency situation
- Demonstrate a high proficiency and understanding of systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and code compliance
- Possess an understanding of OSHA, EPA, and life safety regulations
- Possess or be willing to get a minimum of EPA, Type 2 Certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Possess basic hand tools
- Must be within a reasonable distance from the property and able to travel to the site in inclement weather
- Must be available to respond to all major emergencies
- Must be able to provide valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance
