Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on vacant and occupied apartments, common buildings, equipment, and pools. Complete service requests within 24 hours except emergencies, prioritizing based on urgency and potential for further damage. Maintain property curb appeal and ensure storage and shop areas remain neat, well-stocked, and organized per company standards. Assist with inventory management and continue operations in the absence of the supervisor. Participate in a seven-day, 24-hour rotating on-call schedule for emergency after-hours calls. Requires proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, plus EPA Type 2 certification. Available for weekends, evenings, and flexible hours with a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours in an emergency situation
- Demonstrate a high proficiency and understanding of systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and code compliance
- Possess an understanding of OSHA, EPA, and life safety regulations
- Possess or be willing to get a minimum of EPA, Type 2 Certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Possess basic hand tools
- Must be within a reasonable distance from the property and able to travel to the site in inclement weather
- Must be available to respond to all major emergencies
- Must be able to provide valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance
