Job Summary
Complete assigned work orders for cleaning building floors, vacuuming carpets, and disinfecting restrooms. Sweep, mop, scrub, or vacuum common areas including party rooms, pools, and laundry rooms. Dust furniture, monitor plants, replace lightbulbs, and manage waste removal and recycling. Respond to tenant emergency issues, report safety hazards, and lock doors after operating hours. Shovel snow, salt areas, and clear grounds during winter. Record supply inventory, notify management of low stock or major repairs, and assist with moving abandoned furniture. Ensure compliance with company policy, federal regulations, and OSHA safety guidelines while maintaining yearly certifications. Work a 40-hour flexible schedule covering evenings, weekends, and holidays with occasional overtime.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years' experience in janitorial duties
- High school diploma or GED
- Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions
- Competence with and/or desire to learn and use systems/tools (Yardi, Outlook)
- Must be detail-oriented and a motivated self-starter
- Must have the ability to work independently
- Communicate effectively, orally and written
- Working knowledge of computers and automated systems
- Must be reliable and responsible and maintain good attendance
- Must have ability to work in a team environment
- 40-hour work week and the ability to work a flexible schedule for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage
- Occasional overtime as needed
- Required to lift, carry, walk, sit, push, pull, climb ladders, bending, twisting and climbing stairs
- Ability to be on your feet for the majority of the shift, repetitive and repeated hand and arm motions and the ability to lift and/or carry up to 51 pounds a must
- Must possess the ability to see and hear at normal levels
- Must be able to abide by OSHA safety guidelines or any Federal, State or Local rules or regulations
- Must be able to abide by OSHA safety guidelines or any Federal, State or Local rules or regulations for Personal Protective Equipment when completing work assignments
