Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is crucial in maintaining an assigned apartment community, tasked with completing service requests and repairs promptly while ensuring excellent customer service. Responsibilities include monitoring maintenance supplies, adhering to safety standards, executing preventative maintenance, and maintaining a clean work environment. The role requires the individual to troubleshoot and repair various systems, and participate in an on-call rotation for emergency services. Candidates must possess a high school diploma, at least one year of relevant maintenance experience, and be capable of using general maintenance equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least one year maintenance experience, preferably in the apartment industry
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to accommodate a rotating on-call schedule as required
- Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays as required
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances and all other systems at the community
- Position requires individuals to be able to use general maintenance equipment including hand tools, ladders, refrigerant recovery units, and landscaping equipment
Desired Qualifications
- EPA certification Type I and II preferred
- Other licenses and certifications as required by local, state or federal law
- Technical certifications available (HVAC / CPO)
