Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for performing a broad range of maintenance tasks at an apartment community, including preventive maintenance, repairs to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances, assisting with turnover and move-in/move-out activities, maintaining records and logs (chemical logs, safety programs), coordinating with the Maintenance Supervisor on inventory, budgets, and safety compliance, and providing excellent resident and vendor communication. The role requires strong technical aptitude, ability to work with a team, willingness to participate in an on-call rotation, and adherence to safety, health, and company policies, with duties spanning grounds, common areas, and pool maintenance as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year maintenance experience, preferably in the apartment industry
- EPA certification Type I and II preferred
- Must live within 30 miles of the assigned property
- Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances and all other systems at community
- Other licenses and certifications as required by local, state or federal law
