Maintenance Technician - Part-Time

Job Summary
Maintain the building by performing minor and routine painting, sheetrock, plumbing, electrical wiring, and related activities. Respond to maintenance request tickets from residents and employees to resolve problems, clean and replace air conditioner filters, and wash windows. Clean carpet and flooring, empty trash containers, pressure wash outside spaces, and manage snow removal by clearing sidewalks and spreading salt. Notify management of major repair needs for lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment while coordinating with external businesses. Keep the facility clean and orderly to support the community's goal of providing a comfortable, home-like environment for residents.
Required Qualifications
- Valid state driver's license
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively with residents and coworkers
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Must pass drug screening and background check
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Excellent time management skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Able to build and maintain good rapport with residents, coworkers, and external businesses
- Work as an excellent team player
- Assisted living or nursing home facility maintenance experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience preferred in heating and air work, sheetrock, some plumbing and electrical
