Job Summary
Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical plant, exterior and interior common areas, and individual resident units in the Community, in accordance with the company’s mission and values. Requires basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC; ability to assist with apartment turnovers (painting, carpet cleaning, pressure washing); grounds maintenance (including pool/spa if applicable); maintain a safe environment following safety standards; promote teamwork and collaboration across departments. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ years old, and comfort interfacing with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. Six months of related maintenance experience preferred. May require vaccinations and health screenings as per regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of experience in the building industry, maintenance, and/or housekeeping handling the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, and structural matters
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
- Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
- Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families
