Job Summary
Oversee daily maintenance operations for properties in DeWitt, IA, and Cordova, IL, by diagnosing routine repairs, completing service requests, and documenting work via electronic systems. Inspect units for preventative maintenance, order parts, manage vendor bids, and perform emergency after-hours repairs while adhering to OSHA and health codes. Coordinate daily with the Property Manager, maintain inventory, and promote positive relations with residents and staff. This part-time role requires 28 hours weekly and involves standing, lifting up to 100 pounds, and exposure to dust and chemicals. Experience with HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and power tools is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical, etc.
- Experience with hand tools, including tape measure, square, level, hand saw, chisel, cutters, pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, etc.
- Experience with power tools, including grinders, drills, various saws, rotary hammers, sanders, routers, planers, nail guns, air compressors, etc.
- Experience with mechanical equipment, including motors, pumps, compressors, and blowers.
- Experience with measuring devices such as voltmeters, multimeters, ohmmeters, PH tests, etc.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to use email
