Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for the electro/mechanical maintenance of products and machines to support current production lines and/or sales orders. Technicians will be crossed trained between product lines and must follow all operator instructions along with strict adherence to the Quality System. Duties include installing, repairing, and maintaining plant equipment to ensure proper operation and maximum uptime; performing preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines; coordinating and directing equipment improvements and moderately complex installations; monitoring and repairing CNC machinery and other plant systems; investigating breakdowns and implementing solutions to improve efficiency; maintaining robust PM and TPM processes; providing guidance to less senior technicians; participating in team meetings; following diagrams, manuals, and engineering specifications; removing defective parts and fabricating repair parts as needed; using welding and cutting equipment; measuring parts with calipers and micrometers; repairing control circuits; compiling material lists; maintaining a safe, clean work environment; and other duties as assigned. Qualification notes include a High School Diploma or GED, ability to read/interpret documents, basic math, teamwork, and teachability. Training and safety requirements including PPE and industrial conditions are described.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Must be TEACHABLE
