Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for routine building maintenance for a newer apartment community in Saint Petersburg, FL. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, appliance repair, and performing apartment turnovers (cleaning, painting, carpet shampooing) as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor; occasionally available for after-hours emergency calls. Requires excellent customer service, multitasking, safety awareness, ability to use hand and power tools, basic janitorial tasks, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook; must collaborate effectively with on-site staff, vendors, and residents.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills
- Prior maintenance experience
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC
- Ability to multitask with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to safely use various hand tools and power tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, handheld drills and circular saws
- Ability to perform general janitorial duties
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with various groups (on-site staff, vendors, residents)
