Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsibilities include maintaining the physical plant, exterior and interior common areas, and resident units in a senior-living community. Requires basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC; ability to assist with apartment turnovers (painting, carpet cleaning, pressure washing); grounds maintenance including pool/spa; ensure a safe environment following established safety standards; and promote teamwork across departments. Must have at least 18 years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to operate MS Office programs. Prior experience in building maintenance, housekeeping, or related roles is preferred. The role emphasizes service to residents and families, strong customer service, and safety compliance, with potential vaccination/testing requirements per regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests (including TB)
- Ability to operate MS Office (Word, Excel)
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC preferred
- Knowledge of building construction helpful
- Good written and verbal communication with employees, supervisors, physicians, residents and families
