Job Summary
Establish a program to eliminate downtime in trouble areas by repairing production equipment safely after breakdowns and fabricating new machinery. Maintain equipment according to the Preventative Maintenance Program while troubleshooting issues and working on assigned projects. Utilize safe work habits and appropriate PPE while complying with all NOV Company, HSE, and Quality policies. Read precision gauges and drawings to perform repairs and adapt to cross-training requirements in a fast-paced environment. Work overtime as required, standing, walking, and lifting up to 12 hours daily with weights up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Background in fabrication, mechanical and electrical repair with use of shop tools
- Forklift certification/license
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Ability to read precision gauges
- Ability to use hand tools correctly and safely
- Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties as required
- Ability to learn technical repair and assembly guidelines and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read drawings, instructions or repair and assembly operations
- Ability to stand up to 12 hours daily
- Ability to walk up to 12 hours daily
- Ability to bend/stoop up to 12 hours daily
- Ability to perform repetitive movement (shoveling/sweeping/fastening) up to 12 hours daily
- Ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs. regularly
- Ability to push/pull up to 12 hours daily
