Job Summary
Complete maintenance service requests and work orders covering HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and housekeeping items. Perform apartment turnovers for scheduled move-ins while maintaining high professionalism with residents, vendors, and guests. Handle after-hours emergency calls and operate on-call rotations including nights, weekends, and holidays. Bring prior experience in general maintenance and possess your own hand tools, as travel to other properties or training classes may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in general maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and painting
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and vendors
- Must be able to work nights, weekend, and holiday shifts as part of the on-call responsibility
- Must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time and climb, bend, and squat
- Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry weights up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions
- Must be able to operate a golf cart on the property
- Must be able to handle after-hours emergency calls
- Must be able to complete apartments turnovers for scheduled move-ins in a timely manner
- Must be able to work safely and efficiently
- Must be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities
- Must have their own hand tools to carry out job functions
