Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment breakdowns involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components, and calibrate instruments. Tear down equipment, rebuild defective parts, and install manufacturing equipment as assigned. Maintain plant water treatment systems, check building equipment like pumps and chillers, and lay out circuits for electrical wiring. Participate in Lean initiatives, assist engineering on test equipment, and fabricate parts as required. Work closely with production personnel, set priorities for emergency situations, and adhere to safety standards while meeting performance output standards.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school
- Completion of basic hydraulic and electrical courses
- Silver Level National Career Readiness Certificate
- At least four years related experience
- Experience with various powered industrial vehicles
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, overtime, or on call as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures
- Adherence to all safety standards and PPE requirements
