Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Role includes PLC programming and control-system updates (HMI screens), calibration of instrumentation, and implementing engineering changes for reliability. Must follow OSHA safety guidelines, work with cross-functional teams, respond to emergency breakdowns and on-call/overtime as needed, and operate within a high-noise manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (prefer extrusion or similar)
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Proficiency in PLC systems, Relay Logic, AC/DC drives, and other control system components
- Reading electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, ladder diagrams
- Experience troubleshooting, calibrating, and repairing oil circulating and water heating units
- Ability to use precision measuring tools and electrical testing equipment
- English fluency; strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and 8-12 hour shifts
- Ability to stand, stretch, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Working in a high-noise production environment; adherence to PPE and safety protocols
