Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic role focusing on electrical and mechanical maintenance in a food-manufacturing plant. Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment (conveyors, forming, mixing, ovens), following OSHA safety rules, generating work orders and parts requests, performing preventive maintenance, and maintaining GMP/Safety standards. Requires 12-hour shift rotation incl. weekends/overtime, knowledge of electrical schematics, welding techniques, fabrication, and use of mechanical/pneumatic processes; will operate forklifts/scissor lifts and participate in training to maintain technical knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in the food manufacturing industry
- 4 years of experience working as an experienced level maintenance mechanic
- PLC experience is a plus
- Ability to work rotation 12-hour shift including weekends and some overtime and occasionally
- Knowledge of welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Acetylene)
- Complete knowledge of fabrication techniques
- Electrical knowledge and packing machinery experience a plus
- Must have own set of professional electrical tools
