Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on plant equipment. Key responsibilities include conducting repairs on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines, reading and interpreting electrical schematics, and performing general electrical troubleshooting on various voltage systems. Candidates are required to demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs, electrical controls, and instrumentation, along with having a solid knowledge of mechanical machinery and Good Manufacturing Processes. A minimum of 3 years of mechanical/electrical maintenance experience is necessary, along with the ability to work flexible shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical/electrical maintenance, or instrumentation certificate
- Highly proficient and experienced in troubleshooting, PLCs, electrical controls, instrumentation
- Knowledgeable in the areas of mechanical machinery, steam, boiler, pneumatic & hydraulic operations
- Read/understand blueprints, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals
- Must be available ALL DAYS, ALL SHIFTS
- Strong oral and written communication skills; must be able to read and follow directions
- Must be able to monitor and inspect product and equipment and follow instructions with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Processes
Desired Qualifications
- Boiler and/or Refrigeration experience
- Food background preferred, specifically dairy
- Experience in a variety of manufacturing areas (production, logistics), within consumer products.
