Maintenance Technician (NIGHT)

Job Summary
Conduct repairs and installations on plant production equipment while performing assigned preventive maintenance and inspections. Collaborate with production supervisors on repair functions, highlight safety hazards, and enter data into maintenance and inventory software. Operate forklifts and pallet jacks as needed, complete general clean-up tasks, and provide occasional production assistance. Work night shifts starting at 6:30 pm with at least one weekend day available for coverage. Handle dry ice safely using appropriate PPE in a noisy, unconditioned environment with elevated CO2 levels. Maintain mental capacity to resolve challenges during time-sensitive outages while adhering to all safety and quality policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School or equivalent (GED)
- Must be 21 years of age
- Three (3) years experience in a production/manufacturing environment working in a maintenance capacity
- High degree of technical aptitude and skill to learn the function and repair of plant production equipment
- Formal training in one or more of the following: General Industrial Maintenance, Hydraulics, Industrial Electrical Systems, PLC Programming, Industrial Refrigeration, Compressors, Pneumatics
- At least one day available to work on weekends
- Ideally, you are comfortable with the routine lifting of items weighing at least 50 pounds
- Using hand tools safely and effectively
- Ability to safely climb ladders and work overhead
- Mental capacity to function safely in a noisy environment with safe, but elevated, levels of CO2 vapor present in the facility
- Able to think clearly and resolve challenges cooperatively during time-sensitive outages
