Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring equipment uptime through troubleshooting and repair of production and facilities equipment including injection molders, blow molders, fillers, labelers, conveyors, and more. Key responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, executing repairs, maintaining industrial control systems, and collaborating with team members to resolve mechanical issues. Candidates should have a minimum of four years of relevant experience and strong technical skills, including the ability to read schematics and use precision measuring equipment. This role also requires proactive communication and a commitment to adhering to safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- 4 Years – Experience in Field or similar maintenance environment
- 4 Years – Experience in Position
- 4 Years – Experience managing people/projects
- Ability to read and interpret schematics: electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic
- Skilled in the use of shop equipment such as hydraulic and mechanical presses, bench grinder, drill press, mill and lathe, and assorted power tools
- Proficient skills with precision measuring equipment, such as calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and depth gauges
- Willingness to be a technical leader and trainer within a specific area of plant or machine center
- Will need own toolbox and basic tools
- Basic experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Effective communication of issues and solutions to cross-functional team members
Desired Qualifications
- 6 Years – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment
- 6 Years – Experience working in Position
- 6 Years – Experience managing people/projects
- Experience in high-speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging, or plastics industries
- Experience with Variable frequency drive (VFD), servo drives, and servo motor
- Experience with rotary equipment such as rotary press or filler
- Experience with HVAC including chillers and/or air compressors
- Experience working with electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics for troubleshooting
- Skilled in fabrication capabilities such as cutting and welding (mig, tig or stick)
