Job Summary
Maintenance Technician at a multifamily property delivering on resident commitments through make-ready apartments, timely service, and high-quality customer care. Responsibilities include preparing make-ready units (painting, repairs, cleaning, housekeeping), responding to resident requests, performing maintenance functions (plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical, carpentry, painting), grounds and amenity upkeep, safety compliance, on-call for after-hours, and adherence to fair housing laws; requires on-site presence, valid driver’s license, EPA 608 Type II and CPO or equivalent certificates, and 1+ years of related experience. The role emphasizes reliable attendance, professional appearance, and collaboration with the Maintenance Supervisor and Cushman & Wakefield team.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school
- 1+ years of related experience
- Valid Driver's license
- EPA 608 - Minimum Type II and CPO or local city required certificate
- Ability to read/understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to prepare and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature
- Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Follow all safety procedures
- Travel between properties in varying weather conditions
- Travel up to 10% of the time
- Ability to exert up to 100 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 100 pounds frequently, and/or up to 100 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects
- On-call scheduling may be required to respond to after hour emergencies
