Maintenance Technician - Multicraft

Job Summary

Start machines and observe mechanical operation to detect potential problems, then read work orders to determine equipment requiring repair or maintenance. Perform repairs, adjustments, and ongoing maintenance of facilities while inspecting damaged parts and marking defective areas. Coordinate installations and repairs with coworkers, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components, and dismantle or reassemble machines using hand tools and lifting equipment. Develop preventive and predictive maintenance procedures to improve equipment and process reliability while ensuring all work follows relevant codes and OSHA guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work with others
  • Mechanical and electrical skills
  • Willingness to support all line operations to maximize equipment availability and efficiency
  • Follow all internal and OSHA guidelines

Desired Qualifications

  • Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications
  • Design Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
  • Engineering and Technology - Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services
  • Ability to perform periodic tests or checks on all electrical equipment to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment breakdowns involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic components
  • Ability to dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists. Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work
