Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections on plant equipment, vehicles, cranes, and systems. Execute daily safety checks on power vehicles, verify gauge calibration, and maintain required records. Rig and operate crane, forklift, and articulating boom lifts to move parts and equipment. Respond to emergency situations while ensuring isolation of electrical devices and adherence to all safety protocols. Maintain good housekeeping, dispose of materials per regulatory requirements, and train new employees. Work 3rd shift in a heavy manufacturing facility with physical demands including lifting up to 35lbs and working at heights over 20 feet.
Required Qualifications
- Two year college degree
- Evidence of experience in maintenance applications
- 3-5 years practical experience in a manufacturing facility
- Familiarity with electrical applications
- Familiarity with electronic applications
- Familiarity with mechanical applications
- Evidence of formal training in electrical/electronics
- Competence in reading and interpreting drawings
- Capability of performing simple math calculations (addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication)
- Ability to pass a written test
- Valid New York State driver license
- No moving violations for the previous two years
- No conviction of a DWI/DUI violation
- Ability to supply a current DMV report verifying license status and violations
- Ability to perform work at heights over 20 feet
- Ability to use articulating boom lifts and other forms of man lifts
- Ability to lift up to 35lbs
