Job Summary
Perform repairs, troubleshoot mechanical systems, and complete preventative maintenance across assigned properties while conducting inspections of building and alarm systems. Restore vacated apartments to move-in condition, remove snow and debris from sidewalks and driveways, and fulfill janitorial requirements including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal. Patrol properties daily to identify cleaning needs, resolve on-call emergencies during weekends, evenings, and holidays, and assist with other properties within the portfolio while traveling up to 20% of the time.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years of maintenance or construction experience
- Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations
- EPA certification
- HVAC certification
- Ability to read, speak and comprehend the English language
- Proficiency in performing plumbing, electric and machinery repair
- Ability to follow direction and work independently in a fast-paced, action-oriented environment
- Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Must have hand tools
- ANSI approved steel-toe shoes/composite
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must have reliable transportation
- Willing to assist with other properties within the portfolio and surrounding portfolios as needed
- Willing to travel up to 10-20% of the time
- Must be able to work a flex schedule and be on-call for emergencies on weekends, evenings, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- One year of experience as a full-charge residential maintenance technician
- Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations is preferred
- EPA certification preferred
- HVAC certification preferred
