Job Summary
Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical building systems while performing preventative maintenance to identify developing issues. Respond quickly to urgent maintenance situations affecting guest comfort, safety, or operations by prioritizing competing needs and taking ownership from initial diagnosis through final resolution. Handle guest room and public area repairs involving fixtures, lighting, and furniture, coordinating with vendors and partnering with Front Desk and Housekeeping to minimize disruptions. Maintain a safe, organized workplace by following safety procedures and ensuring tools are properly stocked.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on maintenance or facilities experience
- Hotel, multifamily, commercial building, or similar facilities experience
- Strong HVAC and mechanical aptitude
- Solid plumbing knowledge
- Strong troubleshooting ability
- Composure under pressure
- Ownership and follow-through
- Good communication skills
- Physical ability to perform the role
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to climb ladders
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to kneel
- Must be able to reach
- Must be able to remain on your feet for extended periods
