Job Summary
Maintenance Technician to provide mechanical and electrical support for laminate flooring production. Responsibilities include monitoring routine maintenance and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment stoppages, utilizing mechanical/electrical test equipment, maintaining spare parts inventory, assisting with product change-overs, documenting and implementing process improvements, attending required training, and performing housekeeping and other tasks as needed. Requires experience in industrial settings with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, schematics, and ability to work in a team while following safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in applied technology in industrial/manufacturing or equivalent experience
- Lift Truck Certification preferred
- Successful completion of all required on the job training
- Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training
- Formal training and practical experience in an industrial setting as a Production Technician
- 3+ years practical hands-on experience in an industrial setting
- Experience with high pressure hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated material handling utilizing 480vac VFD’s, and PLC control logic troubleshooting
- Experience troubleshooting complex problems using schematics and computer resources
- Competencies: teamwork, basic math, ability to work with minimal supervision, produce technical reports, interpret drawings, basic computer skills
- Physical requirements: lifting up to 50 pounds, bend, squat, climb, exposure to chemicals/noise/dust/fumes/temperature
