Job Summary
Troubleshoot PLCs using handheld devices or laptops and redesign program software for operator panels. Install, maintain, and replace electronic programmable controllers while diagnosing electrical systems from blueprints and drawings. Perform complex mechanical duties and electrical trade functions for energy generation, distribution, and utilization in a manufacturing environment. Leads projects to return equipment to production safely and efficiently, keeping work areas clean and organized. Continuously reviews areas for productivity improvements and submits process plans for execution. Requires a journeyman electrical license, four years of industrial maintenance experience, and ability to read blueprints.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of electrical code
- 4 or more years industrial maintenance experience
- 2 years industrial electrical experience
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and PLCs
- Ability to score 80% or better on the Industrial Maintenance exam
- Ability to read and understand procedures in English
- Ability to test motors and electrical circuits using a voltmeter and amp meter
- In depth knowledge of LGV equipment and operation
- Journeyman electrical license preferred
- Associate degree in industrial electronics preferred
- Formal PCL training preferred
- Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office)
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
