Job Summary
Licensed Maintenance Technician (Millwright) responsible for maintenance program compliance and work order scheduling, including reactive and preventative maintenance for manufacturing equipment such as food mixers, slab formers, horizontal wrappers, robotic pick-and-place systems, case packers, tunnel ovens and conveyors. Independently troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, escalate recurring problems, perform minor repairs and equipment setup, and support preventive maintenance optimization. Ensure GMP and food-safety practices, assist outside contractors, log parts and data, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Requires 5+ years of experience and certification (NOC 7311 or Red Seal 433A/442A/309D). Afternoon shift availability; strong emphasis on teamwork, ownership, grit, humility, respect, and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as Millwright Mechanic, Maintenance technician or Electrician
- Required certified NOC 7311 or "Red Seal" Millwright Mechanics or Provincial Electricians Ticket (433A, 442A, 309D)
- Experience with equipment such as vertical wrapper, horizontal wrappers, robotics pick and place, tunnel oven is an asset
- Knowledge of PLC, robotics, HMIs, and controls (Allen Bradley) preferred
- Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics
- Hands on working experience with power transmission systems, electric and electronic controls, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, welding, brazing, and soldering
- Proven machining skills using lathes, milling, and drill press
- Rigging and hoisting experience is an asset
- Flexibility to work afternoons and weekends
