Maintenance Technician (Millwright), Afternoon

Job Summary
Troubleshoot and repair facilities and production equipment while performing daily maintenance, preventative maintenance, and safety inspections. Proactively identify and address issues to minimize machine downtime, utilizing continuous improvement and TPM methodologies. Collaborate with production teams to return repaired machines in good condition and manage assigned work orders through the CMMS. This afternoon shift role supports Ecolab's industrial markets with a steady Monday to Friday schedule from 2:30pm to 11:00pm. Candidates must possess a Millwright license and 3+ years of experience in electrical and mechanical systems within a chemical manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Millwright license (433A), or actively working towards completion
- 3+ years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment
- 3+ years of experience with electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial environment (pumps, fillers, packaging machines, conveyers, motors, sensor wiring, electrical drawings and schematics etc.)
- Elementary math capability
- Ability to follow oral or written instructions
- Strong communication skills
- Must be able to perform all physical duties
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs
- Weekend Coverage: 1 – 2 weekends per month, based on business need
Desired Qualifications
- Chemical manufacturing industry experience
- Formal vocational training in plant maintenance activities with emphasis on industrial applications or equivalent job experience in electricity, power distribution, industrial electrical wiring, mechanics, machine operations, general plumbing, heating ventilation and air conditioning, and boiler operations
- Experience with PLC-based applications in an industrial environment
- Able to work in difficult situations such as confined spaces, heat and in high places
- Experience with pumps, welding, bearings, electrical safety, forklifts, gears, hydraulics, valves, and rigging
- Experience in a TPM environment
