Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on forklifts and other material handling equipment while troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues. Complete routine building maintenance tasks including repairs to doors, docks, lighting, and plumbing, and conduct inspections on both equipment and facility assets. Execute basic refrigeration repairs and accurately document all maintenance activities by completing work orders. Safely operate lifts and use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to finish repairs in a cold storage warehouse environment.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of hands-on maintenance experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or different shifts as needed
- Comfortable working around moving equipment, machinery, and occasionally at elevated heights
Desired Qualifications
- Experience maintaining forklifts, material handling equipment (MHE), and commercial or industrial buildings
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment with minimal supervision
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipment
- Basic computer skills for completing work orders and documenting repairs
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment
