Job Summary
Complete preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and apartment turnovers while ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and a hazard-free environment. Perform repairs including painting, basic carpentry, wall repair, plumbing, and electrical work, and clean apartments during the turnover process as directed. Execute work orders in a timely and accurate manner, maintaining a professional personal appearance and following all instructions. This part-time position offers approximately 32 hours per week with pay ranging from $20 to $23 per hour. The role supports Mercy Housing's mission to build homes, hope, and opportunity within the community.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of basic building maintenance required either through training or experience.
- Legally operate a motor vehicle (valid driver's license and insurance).
- Take direction from the supervisor.
- Read, write, do basic math, and follow instructions.
- Flexible to change work plans.
- Maintain a professional personal appearance.
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year in skilled maintenance work.
- Technical training in one or more building trades preferred.
