Job Summary
Maintenance Technician/Maintenance Mechanic I responsible for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment across the site to minimize production disruption. Performs repair, replacement and installation of pumps, valves, motors, conveyors, and related components; aligns and rebuilds equipment including compressors, turbines, gearboxes, and pumps. Uses micrometers and calipers to repair equipment; operates drill presses, hydraulic presses, pedestal grinders, mills and lathes. Works independently or in small teams, may work outdoors in varying temperatures, and must be available for a 12-hour rotating shift with call-ins required. Requires self-management, punctuality, good attendance, and adaptability to multiple assignments. Must be able to read blueprints/single-line drawings and perform basic math.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- minimum 2 years of experience as mechanic on industrial maintenance or technical education
- minimum 2 years maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial environment
- read and write; basic mathematics
- experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment
- experience with valves and ability to change/repair and align pumps
- experience with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers; operate drill press, hydraulic press, pedestal grinder, mill equipment and lathes
- familiar with reading and working from blueprints and/or single line drawings
