Job Summary
Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our senior living community. Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing HVAC, elevator, fire and sprinkler equipment, generators, and kitchen equipment; plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and equipment repair; responding to resident maintenance requests; preparing vacated rooms; maintaining common areas; coordinating with fire marshals and inspectors; assessing problems and determining best solutions; documenting safety issues; assisting management during emergencies; fostering teamwork and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1–3 years of related experience in building maintenance or equivalent
- Knowledge of building systems and codes (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
- Valid state driver’s license
- TB clearance
- First Aid certification
- Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
- Strong communication skills with residents, families, and team members
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Pleasant, professional demeanor
