Job Summary
Drive and operate mowing equipment, tractors, and pickup trucks to maintain grounds, landscaping, and athletic fields. Perform carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical, fencing, and small equipment repairs while conducting custodial duties including debris pickup and trash removal. Assist with snow removal using hand tools and power equipment, cut trails with a chainsaw, and prepare fields for recreational activities. Complete assigned tasks, maintain records of work performed, and utilize a computer for work orders and time management. Work a typical 40-hour week Monday through Friday, with occasional nights, weekends, and on-call responsibilities required due to weather and maintenance needs.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older
- Minimum 5 years of experience in skilled trades, construction, or maintenance
- reliable transportation
- valid Driver's license
- satisfactory driving record
- high school diploma or GED
- pass background check
- willing to be subject to drug and alcohol screening
- Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed including nights/weekends
- Ability to provide good and effective communication both orally and written
- capacity to understand and follow oral and written orders
- Ability to remain alert throughout the work day
- Ability to easily move through a variety of terrain, climb ladders and complete manual labor under a variety of conditions
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to communicate in a polite and pleasant manner and actively interact with patrons
- Ability to work as a team member
- Ability to work independently and to be accurate, efficient, and organized
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl frequently
