Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining the integrity of the community and delivering exceptional customer service. The role involves preparing make-ready apartments, completing service requests, performing common area maintenance, maintaining inventory and shop organization, participating in preventative maintenance and safety programs, and communicating with customers, residents, investors, vendors, leadership, and team members. Requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred), at least 1 year of apartment-maintenance experience or a related trade (preferred), EPA/HVAC I & II and CPO certifications (required), valid driver’s license and insurance (required), your own basic tools, basic computer skills, and English-speaking communication. Must be able to read requests, schedules, and work with residents and vendors, and be available for variable schedules including weekends and emergencies. The role emphasizes safety, risk management, and adherence to company policies, with potential work at other locations and travel within major metro areas.”
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year previous experience in apartment maintenance or a trade that requires basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting and HVAC (preferred)
- EPA, HVAC I & II, and CPO certifications (required)
- Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance (required)
- Own basic set of hand tools (required)
- Able to read service requests, schedules, and communicate with team members, residents, vendors in English
- Basic computer skills
- Able to travel within major metropolitan areas and respond to emergencies as required
- Able to adhere to company policies, procedures, and practices
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Able to maintain a professional and ethical atmosphere
- Able to perform work responsibilities at locations other than home property
- Able to work weekends and emergencies as required
