Job Summary
Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during shifts, including troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Perform scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service in a multi-shift environment while ensuring all electrical schematics and instrumentation remain calibrated. Apply Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles to maintain an optimized production environment and support facility repairs. Participate in special projects and execute process improvements as needed. Requires one or more years of experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic applications, plus the ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
Required Qualifications
- One or more years of demonstrated experience in the electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic applications
- Must have ability to multi-task and to identify and execute process improvements as needed
- Requires strong problem-solving skills to assess product output relative to specifications
- Requires physical ability to climb stairs, bend, sit, stand, walk, reach with arms, push, pull and use hands and fingers to feel and handle material for extended time frames
- Must have ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds repeatedly and regularly
- Includes the ability to stoop, squat, crawl and kneel as needed
- This position requires frequent walking
- Must be able to read electrical schematics
- Must have vocational maintenance training certificate
