Job Summary

Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on community recreational areas, including clubhouses, pools, and sports courts. Diagnose and fix diverse facility issues across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems, while managing preventive upkeep schedules. Conduct routine property walkthroughs to identify safety hazards and maintain aesthetic standards, then log all work orders and completed tasks. Operate the Association's truck to service amenities and perform basic vehicle maintenance. Support community events with setup and teardown, and ensure all tasks comply with OSHA standards and PPE requirements. Work independently with minimal supervision, responding to emergencies calmly and communicating professionally with residents.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of advanced handyman, commercial facility upkeep, or residential property maintenance experience
  • Strong working knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, electricity, painting, and drywall
  • Proven ability to work independently, accurately diagnose mechanical or structural issues, and determine whether a repair can be handled in-house or requires an outside specialist
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a commitment to maintaining professional, friendly, and transparent communication with community management and residents
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Vehicle insurance
  • Driving record in compliance with Company policy
  • Must be a team player
  • Ability to manage workflow amid shifting priorities
  • Adaptable and dependable with a solid attendance record
  • Ability to respond to emergencies in a calm, appropriate manner

Desired Qualifications

  • HOA or master-planned community experience
  • Ability to read blueprints or technical manuals
  • Relevant trade certifications (e.g., HVAC, CPO/Pool Operator, or electrical certificates)
