Job Summary

Operate hand and power tools to perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and robotics components used in Injection Molding and Thermoforming processes. Carry out assigned Preventive Maintenance tasks, conduct daily checks, and maintain repair data on computers. Communicate shift priorities and train new or existing team members on work area functions. Perform all duties in compliance with safety guidelines, OSHA regulations, and company policies while keeping work areas clean. Work overtime as business demands and read machinery manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or equivalent in Industrial Maintenance Technology and/or the equivalent with demonstrated experience in the Industrial Maintenance field
  • Current Level 1 Maintenance Technician that has continued on with their education and has Certificate of Completions in the following courses with a grade C or better (curriculum derived from the Joliet Junior College) and/or equivalent job experience: EEAS 113: Industrial Controls 2, IMT 123: Maintenance Management, TMT 102: Technical Mathematics, EEAS 223 - Industrial Circuits-Advanced Programmable Controllers, EEAS 225 - Automated Systems, EEAS 240 - Motors and Drives
  • 5 plus years of related experience
  • Basic math, measuring, and computer skills
  • Team player with a good attitude and strong work ethic; must be dependable with excellent attendance
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand verbal and written work orders/instructions in English
  • Demonstrate knowledge of performing maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and/or robotics systems
  • Demonstrate knowledge of manufacturing processes such as Plastic Injection Molding, Thermoforming, and Automation
  • Ability to read machinery manuals, blueprints, and schematics
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations as they pertain to manufacturing and/or completion of OSHA 10 Hours training course
  • High degree of attention and detail required to prevent accidents, injuries, and quality issues
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
