Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for preserving the community’s physical integrity and safety. Duties include diagnosing and performing routine maintenance and repairs on units and equipment, moving heavy appliances, coordinating make-ready repairs after move-outs, ensuring compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations for hazardous materials, creating and following work orders, scheduling vendors/contractors for curb appeal, ensuring amenities and grounds are ready for review, and assessing move-outs for damages. Requires 2+ years of related experience, EPA/OSHA certifications, Fair Housing and pool certification, a high school diploma, strong problem-solving skills, teamwork and independent work capability, computer/phone proficiency, ability to handle emergency calls, a valid driver’s license, and may require driving a golf cart.
Required Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in related field
- EPA, OSHA, Fair Housing, and pool certification required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to use good judgment and possess strong problem-solving skills
- Works as part of a team, as well as completes assignments independently
- Ability to operate a computer, phone system and general office equipment
- Must be able to take calls for emergency requests
- Must have a valid driver’s license and daily transportation for getting supplies and other duties
- May need to drive a golf cart
