Job Summary
Maintenance Technician role at LightForce Orthodontics focusing on preventative and corrective maintenance of production assets within a 3D-printed manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include executing PMs, documenting maintenance, maintaining tooling and logs, performing daily maintenance rounds, driving quality/process improvements, ensuring GMPs and SOPs, applying 5S/lean techniques, updating process improvements, conducting workflow simulations and risk assessments, designing and testing jigs and tools to support productivity, assisting production teams with troubleshooting, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. Preferred education includes an Associate or Bachelor's degree in manufacturing or related fields and any relevant certifications; experience in additive manufacturing, startup environments, and professional manufacturing settings is a plus. Must demonstrate strong documentation, data traceability, and ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams; willingness for on-call availability; physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform related manufacturing duties.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in manufacturing or related field is preferred but not required
- Certificate of training in mechanical or electronics is preferred but not required
- Experience in a professional-level manufacturing environment is a plus
- Experience working in a startup environment is a plus
- Experience with additive manufacturing is a plus
- Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite)
- Must demonstrate acute attention to detail and organizational skills
- Documentation and data traceability
- Knowledge of SOPs in manufacturing or assembly
- Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
- Work safely in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated, data-driven, eager to learn
- Analytical thinker with root cause analysis
- On-call availability
- Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching
