Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

Conduct day-to-day repairs, corrective, and preventive maintenance on installed systems including plumbing, kitchen equipment, lighting, office, and warehouse fixtures. Troubleshoot and perform light carpentry, furniture assembly, locksmith tasks, and janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming warehouse floors. Maintain cleaning equipment like the floor scrubber and replace trash liners while complying with all codes, regulations, and company directives. Respond quickly to emergency situations and report safety hazards or maintenance needs to the supervisor. Empty trash and recycling bins as needed. Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in good working order. Use the floor scrubber as scheduled by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or (GED)
  • Minimum of two years of experience
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Able to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Able to calculate simple figures
  • Ability to carry out general instructions
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office
  • Ability to stand
  • Ability to climb
  • Ability to walk
  • Ability to stoop
  • Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs. or more
  • Effective time management skills
