Maintenance Technician- Lenox Apartments (Tampa)

Job Summary
Maintain the physical integrity of apartment communities by performing repairs, preventative maintenance, installations, and construction to maximize occupancy and return-on-investment. Complete service requests within 24 hours, coordinate emergency calls outside business hours, and handle make-readies, trash-outs, and lock changes. Diagnose HVAC issues, enforce EPA and OSHA regulations regarding hazardous materials, and keep common areas and grounds neat. Ensure storage areas and vacant units remain secure while assisting residents and vendors with a courteous demeanor. Adhere to a flexible schedule with good regular attendance and report any unusual circumstances regarding residents or the property.
Required Qualifications
- Up-to-Date Universal type EPA Certification required from an approved and licensed authority
- HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Certification) License
- At least 1-year experience in apartment maintenance or similar field
- A high school diploma or equivalent and professional knowledge of trades/maintenance discipline are required
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license (as applicable by the property)
- Must have a reliable mode of transportation at all hours
- Must have a mode of communication in which to be contacted at home and to respond in cases of emergency
- Must be willing to perform work at or be assigned to other communities as needed
- Must be available and willing to answer 24-hour maintenance emergency calls
- Must adhere to schedule, be prompt, on time to work, and have good, regular attendance
- Must maintain a courteous and helpful demeanor with residents, prospective residents, co-workers, vendors, etc.
Desired Qualifications
- Swimming Pool Certification not required, but a plus
