Job Summary
Maintenance Technician at Gaines Investment Trust responsible for routine and corrective maintenance in apartment homes and common areas, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and carpentry. Duties include timely service-resident interactions, assisting with apartment turns and move-ins, preventative maintenance, inspections, grounds/area upkeep, and contributing to after-hours on-call rotations. Must have at least 2 years of maintenance experience (multifamily preferred), hands-on work in maintenance/HVAC/construction, with HVAC certification in progress or completed, EPA certification preferred, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to commute within 20–30 minutes of properties. Strong communication with residents, staff, and supervisors required; ability to lift and perform physical work outdoors and indoors. Comprehensive benefits package available. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience
- Prior multifamily maintenance experience preferred
- Hands-on experience in maintenance, construction, facilities, HVAC, or mechanical work
- HVAC certification required or in progress
- EPA certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to commute within 20–30 minutes of the property
- Ability to follow directions and work independently
- Ability to lift, carry, climb stairs, and work both indoors and outdoors
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and communication skills
