Job Summary
Monitor plant machinery and equipment for proper operating performance, performing regular preventive maintenance, repairs, diagnoses, tests, troubleshooting, and inspections. Document all work accordingly while ensuring safety processes are followed and standard operating procedures are adhered to. Multi-task to keep up with demands in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, adapting quickly to changes and completing tasks by deadlines. This role supports Land O'Lakes' Purina Animal Nutrition business, which innovates nutrition products to unlock animal potential for a healthier, more productive life.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- 1 year of industrial or building facility maintenance experience
- Basic computer and math skills
- Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions and product manuals
- Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot
- Strong collaboration, communication skills
- Always respectful
- Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
- Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
- Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
- Working in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods
- Working in areas where dust and chemicals are present
Desired Qualifications
- 1 to 3+ years' experience working with basic electrical systems, compressors, welding, plumbing, conveyers, hydraulics, packaging, PLC, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, and pumps
- LOTO experience
- Forklift experience
