Job Summary
Facility Maintenance Technician to join the R&D team in Nijmegen. You will be responsible for routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and troubleshooting to prevent downtime and ensure a safe working environment. Perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, technical repair, install or replace damaged fixtures and equipment; inspect equipment and systems; develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures; maintain records of maintenance activities (work orders); collaborate with R&D staff, external contractors, and vendors; participate in continuous improvement initiatives; issue work permits; support setup for meeting rooms as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in similar role
- Technical training or certification in a relevant trade (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) preferred
- Experience as a handyman or similar maintenance role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of safety standards
- High sense of safety awareness and commitment to safe working practices
