Job Summary
Maintenance Technician at KONE responsible for on-site elevator and escalator maintenance, ensuring quality service, safety, and proactive, precise on-site communication with customers and end-users; manage PAR stock levels, inventory, and timely replenishment orders; submit time sheets; identify site risks and obtain approvals for unplanned repairs with the on-site contact; perform required maintenance and ensure adherence to service contracts, while leveraging NQF certifications or Red Seal/trade credentials and basic IT and communication skills to support sustainable People Flow services.
Required Qualifications
- Red seal trade test certificate
- lift mechanic
- Completed NQF level 4 certification with an apprenticeship program (minimum 4 years)
- Completed Electrical/Mechanical Engineer Diploma/Degree with completion of at least 12 months shadowing a competent lift mechanic
- Completed NQF level 5 certification with completion of at least 12 months shadowing a competent lift mechanic
- Good communication skills with basic IT skills
