Job Summary
Two affordable housing communities in Rockford, IL seek a Maintenance Technician to perform daily maintenance and repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances; maintain exterior and pool areas; respond to routine and emergency requests; prepare vacant apartments using make-ready checklists; inspect buildings and grounds for safety and curb appeal; communicate with vendors and contractors; requires at least 3 years in property or building maintenance; HS diploma required with HVAC-EPA Type II or EPA Universal preferred; valid driver’s license and insurability; full-time position with competitive hourly pay and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of previous experience in property management maintenance, building maintenance, or related trade
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurability requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- HVAC-EPA (Type II), or EPA Universal preferred
