Job Summary
Perform multipoint inspections on vehicles, inspect fluid levels in steering gears and transmissions, check tire pressure, and lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants. Drain oil from crankcases, refill with required amounts, add water to radiators and batteries, and replace oil and air filters. Communicate additional service or repair needs to service advisors and inspect all vehicles for additional repairs. Use hand- or compressed-air powered grease guns to service universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles. Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and codes of conduct while following dealership procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt, and harsh chemicals.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet dealership's requirements for employment
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and information
- Familiarity with all aspects of automotive repair/maintenance
- Must have a valid driver license and be able to operate manual transmissions
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience as a technician's helper or apprentice preferred
