Job Summary
Install, repair, and maintain piping, pumps, and fixed plant assets while conducting daily and preventative checks. Lubricate, clean, and assess equipment condition, reporting problems to management. Operate machinery to move supplies or clean the facility, assist with conduit and wire pulls for expansion projects, and perform seasonal yard work. Maintain housekeeping throughout the plant and interact with personnel to ensure safe, efficient operations. Provide hands-on and classroom training on mechanical shop tools. Read and interpret technical information, proofread documents, and adhere to safety policies involving chemicals and electrical hazards.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Have the ability to fluently read, write and speak in English
- Must be able to handle physical work
- Must be able to read and interpret legal and technical information
- Must be able to conduct both hands on and classroom training
- Must be able to properly identify and demonstrate the basic use of common mechanical shop tools and equipment
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds in various packaging
- Must be able to tip and move 55-gallon drums, weighing up to 600 pounds, with the use of a drum dolly
- Must be able to comply with all Federal, State and Local laws
- Must adhere to guidelines, policies and procedures as described in the Jacam handbook
- Must adhere to Jacam's Drug and Alcohol policy and agree to submit to random drug testing as a condition of employment
