Job Summary
Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical plant, exterior, and interior common areas, and individual resident units in a senior living community; duties include basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work, assisting with apartment turnovers (painting, carpet cleaning, pressure washing), grounds maintenance including pool and spa, and maintaining a safe environment following safety standards; requires ability to collaborate with coworkers and departments, strong customer service skills, and effective communication with residents and families; requires high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ years old, and background/health screenings; MS Office proficiency and a willingness to comply with vaccination/PPE policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Prefer six (6) months of experience in building industry, maintenance, and/or housekeeping
- Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
- Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families
- Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
