Job Summary
Maintenance Technician IV responsible for complex mechanical and electrical maintenance in a manufacturing setting. Performs troubleshooting of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) using handheld devices or laptops, designs and redesigns PLC programs and operator panels, handles computer setup and PC applications, installs and maintains electrical equipment, analyzes electrical systems from blueprints and specifications, and leads improvement projects to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Requires ability to read blueprints, troubleshoot electrical systems and PLCs, test motors and electrical circuits with meters, and apply process-improvement initiatives to production operations. The role emphasizes safety, equipment reliability, and delivering efficient, safe production operations in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of electrical code
- 4+ years industrial maintenance experience
- 2 years industrial electrical experience
- Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office)
- Journeyman electrical license preferred
- Associate degree in industrial electronics preferred
